I need a brush or something to scrub my aluminum rims. I know that a specialized brush is probably 3X the cost of say a bathroom brush and probably lower quality. Is there a common household cleaning tool I can use that won't harm the finish? I was thinking of a soft bristle deck scrubber or a toilet brush.

As long as there are no pits in the aluminum, you can use a basic plastic brush that costs 59 cents.

I have never used a brush that is specifically for aluminum rims and I have never had a problem.
