Okay, so although I'll sound like a hypocrite since I think Keira Knightley is the most beautiful woman alive, I think the media has brainwashed us into believing attractive but not ethereal people are "gorgeous."

Yes, 90% of celebrities have had plastic surgery. Yes, they have makeup artists etc. Yes, they are attractive. But i've seen loads of attractive people in real life.

Why are we so obsessed with them? Most of them can't even act. They aren't real artists. Many singers can't even sing (aka Britney fatty spears). I am a music minor and I at my university I have met far more talented, technically skilled, trained people.

So, why are we so obsessed with above average but clearly not ethereal people? Many of whom possess less talent than unknown counterparts?

For starters, the media hasn't brainwashed me. Common sense would tell a person that someone who has a "stick figure" frame or looks unnatural isn't really beautiful. Furthermore, I'm not obsessed with celebrities and all their immorals they try to put on us - from what we should wear, to what we should buy, etc.

The female celebrities whom I think are absolutely beautiful rarely ever make it to any of the "most beautiful woman alive" lists, so I don't think I'm brainwashed by the media. Then again, I've not the type to be influenced by factors like that anyway. :) I'm my own person. Here are the most attractive female celebrities in my mind. You'll notice that they are attractive in a CLASSY way, not a slutty way (i.e. Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, etc.)

Natalie Portman
Alison Lohman
Jordana Brewster
Amanda Peet
Salma Hayek
Halle Berry
Lee Ann Womack

nicely, brainwashing would nicely be a touch emotional of a reaction, notwithstanding, i'd concur all media impacts idea to some degree. Media grants diverse attitude on a topic which promotes concepts. As a discern, it is your job to guage all those perspectives with your baby. figuring out Aladdin as a fictional tale devised for leisure will be an appropriate search for suggestion from from have with your baby in case you felt the movie negatively inspired the non secular beliefs you want to placed across for your baby.

Fame is an admirable quality. We see certain people all the time, in the news, on TV walking into awards shows. There is nothing particularly special about them, but they have publicists that are paid to get them on TV and seen at the right and sometimes wrong places.

Finally, someone who has awakened from the media-induced stupor. Yes, it is a form of brainwashing. The media forces celebrity news down our throats in order to distract people from issues that really matter.

Who is Obsessed? I've always had a little contempt for fan clubs and ravers. I wouldn't turn my head to look at any of them If I were told they were behind me. Well, OK maybe I would glance but mostly to see if someone was pulling my leg.
