It is too far for commuting.

Sorry, that's ridiculous. The flight alone is more than an hour, with the necessary early arrival and the unavoidable takeoff delays at London you are looking at a minimum of six hours a day traveling.

You have to arrive at least an hour early, the flight is around an hour, then it's half an hour in to London plus the time it took you to get to Belfast airport.

LHR and LGW can have long takeoff delays, Luton is an hour north by train, Stanstead is hard to get to.

Of course it's not impossible, but you'd be spending your entire life at work or traveling and you'd never see Belfast during the week. Some of my friends used to commute to Spain and Germany, but they flew out on Sunday night and returned Friday night, they lived in Bedfordshire and worked in Europe on defense projects.

The only way to do this daily is to fly, and with that many of trips ( 5 a week ) i think the airline will know you on first name terms.

Realistically, I think it's way to demanding to consider this. 30 mins travelling time to airport, 20 mins check in , 20 mins to transport in London ( no bags ), 30 mins ( best estimate - no traffic - to your destination ) + travelling time of 70 mins approx.

Then you need to do the lot in reverse - and a London delay in traffic could really mess you up.

So .... running like a squirrel, you'll spend from 3 to 8 hours a day commuting. Wouldn't it be more productive and cheaper to get yourself an apartment in London and commute weekly ?

Here's some accommodation ideas to run with the thoughts, Good Luck :

Try the underground, (tube), or by train station has packages. Military people can get great discounts! Always ask for discounts of any kind! Good luck!
