Ok.. what happens if I'm at a pelvic exam and they have the speculum in and I have to go to the bathroom?
Im getting one on monday.. after schoool....

But what happens if you do have to go? and you didn't completly empty it out?

They always make you go before the exam!

I am sure that if it was really an emergency they will let you go to the bathroom. However, these exams usually only last ten minutes, so you will be fine if you go before you start the exam.

They always have you empty your bladder before the exam. It doesn't last very long, so don't even worry about that. Just breathe slow and deep and try and stay relaxed it'll be over before you know it. Everyone dreads it and the Dr. knows it. You'll do fine!
