I have a micron thats about 4 years old. It is really fast but it crashes a lot. It will work fine until I open something that uses a lot of graphics (sim city 4, command and conquer generals) and some programs won't even open like ceasar 4 and the new doom for pc, not to mention WOW which I am paying for and can't even play because of this crappy computer... I think it is the video card it's a geforce 4 mx420 or is it just a typical micron? would getting a new video card help?

i don't think it is enough for doom its only a 64 mb chip

no spyware or anything I use zone alarm, ive got registry mechanic, norton suite and pc pit stop optimize registered version

Your ram and graphic's cards are good enough to run Doom, so thats propably the same problem for the other games

I expect it's loaded with Virus, Worms, Root Kits & Trojens.
You need to download a decent Firewall (I suggest ZomeAlarm) & save that plus all your Device Drivers (get clean copies fdrom the web) to CD_R.
Then clear everything off & reformat the Hard disk and re-install the Operating System (you do have the original CD's I hope ?) & the Device drivers.
Install the Firewall BEFORE connecting to the Internet.
