You will need to drain the tank and dry it very well. Then seal along the crack with pure silicon sealant. You can get this at Walmart in small and large tubes in the paint section. Be sure to get pure 100% silicon with no additives though. The tube will say safe for aquariums. Allow that to dry for at least a day before refilling the tank.

It really depends on where the leak is. If the leak is where two pieces of glass comes together then use aquarium sealant. Empty the tank, dry it completely and apply the sealant. The wait time for it to cure varies so read the package carefully. Do not use anything that is not made for aquariums. Many different sealers will add solvents into your water even after they have cured. I wouldn't take that chance with my fish.

If the glass is cracked on one of the sides, then you need to replace the tank because eventually it will give out and you will have a big mess and a good chance of loosing your fish. The larger the tank the more important it is to replace it.

If the tank is acrylic then you need to replace the tank. Aquarium sealants made of silicon will not adhere to acrylic and thus may stop the leak temporally but it will eventually start leaking again.

It will weaken the tank and eventualy crack. However to temperary fix it you can buy a sealent, in an emg place cling film over it on the inside of the tank, the water will hold it firmly in place and stop the leak. I would get a new tank though as any fixing wont last long and will eventualy crack.

If it is a small tank, it probably isn't worth fixing. If it is larger, you may be able to get a glass shop to make a replacement pane. You will have to empty the tank and take it apart. You will have to reassemble it and use aquarium sealant. You will have to find a place for the fish and recycle the tank.
Is this worth it? Hard to say. Maybe if it is a 29 gallon or larger.
I assume it is a glass aquarium...

There is a sealant that you can purchase at any auto store, like Auto Zone, that is made to seal gas tanks. Inexpensive and it works too.!! Just ask for a gas tank sealant.

It is better to buy a new one unless you want your room to flood one day. Sealants will do for the meantime but it will not last for long.
