Age notwithstanding, perfume is not something I would give to anyone not knowing their tastes. Some women can wear a flowery perfume, where some prefer a sweet, woodsy musk. Depending on the person, certain formulations sour on a body, making the scent decidedly unpleasant.
I would try to learn what she wears most often, and try to find something similar in formulation.

Okay, my mom is 35 getting ready to turn 36 and for Christmas I gave her a Burberry set. It's seriously to die for! I wear it too and I'm only 17 (soon to be 18!) It's a beautiful fragrance.
I would probably give Burberry to any woman who wants to feel beautiful and smell sexy.
No joke. You should totally buy it.

To any of them I would give Happy by Clinique.
All the ladies in my family use it and love it and they fit into your age range list.
