I am failing badly. & everytime i sit down and try to study i get distracted easily or blank out.

I' am having the same problem too in college. First, get off of Y/A for a while. Next, try studying daily instead of the day before the test. Try taking notes, using index cards, and eliminate distractions like TV, computer, cellphone, etc. Next, draw diagrams or chats that help you see it visually to better understand it. Get a planner, that can keep you organize for you can know which big test is coming up. Finally, do a self test quiz on yourself for you can practice and see what you know or what you need to study more.

The same thing happens to me, just sit down and listen to something that will help you concentrate, and just look at your paper and read everything it says over and over again. You should tell yuorself that you can do this without being distracted. Let everyone know our studying so they wont bother you. SHut your cellphone off. Also make sure its quiet, and your tv is off.

Clear your room from all distractions, no cd player and no cd's in your room, no big posters, no pets and no barbies.
clear your table and write a schedule. start studying about 2 hours every day at first and then after a while increase it to 4-5-6 hours every day.

I guess you need to eliminate those distractions, try studying outside where there's no TV and less people etc.

No tv or music read the text book multiple times. Then try to remember what you read and what you don't remember go back to it and try to memorize that.
