A person died in their apartment and after a year someone finally discovered they were dead. Wouldn't there be such an awful smell?

Unless it was summer weather the smell would have stayed pretty close to the corpse, its grose but it happens to the single elderly more than you know. Also if there were no way for flies to get in the body would become mummified.

The humidity in the room kept the body from rotting, what I wonder is who paid the electrical bill that the TV was still on 1 yr after!

you made that up because the rent was not paid, and the landlord will come in with the police force to evict the tenant and remove all their stuff

lady died on our block and no one knew for about a month....the mail was piling up!

that is soooo sad. that means this person had no one who loves or just care enough to check on him/her.
