Just listen to what that Lib Jesus had to say in the Beatitudes:

"Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth."

"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy."

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God."

"Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

"But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also."

How do you war supporters square this? If Jesus were here to post on this board, would you hurl insults & epithets at him? Would you tell him that he "supports the terrorists" because he so clearly advocates peace?

Seriously, how does someone that calls themself a Christian choose things that fly so squarely in the face of what Jesus said?

Since when do Christians pay any attention to what Jesus actually said or did?
Mostly, Christians use Jesus as an icon to justify hating someone for something they did just because that person or group DOESN'T hold up the Jesus card.

If the world followed Jesus' words, it would be a better place. Unfortunately, there are too many 'interpreters' between Jesus and people, and those interpreters are usually working for the economists and bankers.
Most Christians are more like old testament Hebrews, with Yahweh the War God being carried around on their backs. Jesus, to them, is "just zis guy, you know?".

Actually Jesus may indeed have supported the "terrorists" he was a bit of a terrorist himself in some ways... He was TOTALLY about getting back to and following GODS law and not mans law.. and by terrorists I take it you mean muslims basically.. well Mohammed was a distant relative of his or so they say.. so yeah he might have sided with em on that part too.. Jesus was a jewish rabbi.. ad he belonged to a particular sect (religious & political) called the Sadducees... and he wasnt at all happy with the other major sect.. the Pharisees (I believe he even physically kicked a few of thier asses from time to time (remember the money changers at the temple?)

And yeah its attributed to him that he said turn the other cheek.. but after that cheek is turned and slapped again.. i think perhaps its time to kick some *** (aint nothing that sez you gotta put up with 3 slappings is there? i didnt think so LOL)

Being a Christian doesn't mean you have to be a doormat!Jesus IS totally against the terrorists because they are killing innocent people! It always amazes me how some people can twist anything to say what they want it to mean! I guarantee that you are a liberal, atheist, democrat.

I have wondered the same thing. It is easy to talk the talk of Christianity but how willing are they to really walk the walk?

The holier than thou attitude of some especially Evangelicals makes one wonder just how Christian they really are.
