but why are we as wives to blame when you lose something?

Next time he asks you where something is, just ask him if his @ss hurts. And when he says no, tell him "That's strange, because thats where I thought I put it"

Is it really lost? Or did you have to put it away where it belongs for him? My husband does the same thing. Is always accusing me of "losing" something of his. Goes like this: Comes home, drops his things wherever, I pick up and put where belongs. He looks for thing at later date and gets mad because doesn't know where it is. Accuses me of "losing" it. I tell him that all he has to do is ask me where it is and I will tell him (of course being a man that's like telling him to read the directions). Then I point out where it is and he says "Why do you have to put everything away". Because a tool box is a logical place for a hammer, etc. etc. And, because if I don't put it where it belongs, it would truly be lost among all the junk on the floor, and we wouldn't be able to see the floor after a while because it would be littered with his junk!

Well it depends on the husband as I did someting worse
than loosing, I left my back door wide open when I and
my wife left to do grocery shopping and She discovered
it after we came home about 2hrs later. Luckily we had
our rottwailer tied to the entrance of the door and no.one
entered, I took the blame and she chewed me out and I
took it because imagine I left the house wide open for
anyone to come in and help themselves. So we both at
times do slip but we take the blame where the blame falls.

For the same reason we blame our wives for getting lost while driving - we have a tendency to be dunderheads! Actually, there is no good reason - my wife and I just laugh it off.

Because its usually a woman who picks something up when they are cleaning, and puts it somewhere , but because its not a concern of theirs, have no memory of doing it. This answer is a total stab in the dark. The real reason is because you are the wives. Your needed for us men so we may have a scape goat. That answer was was givin without any real thinking. YOUR WELCOME

the others are right, us wives pick stuff they leave out and we actually put it in the proper place. MY MOTHER USED TO ALWAYS MAKE ME SO MAD! i would ask her if she knew where something was and she would say yeah, and of course i would say WHERE? and she would say " the last place you left it" AUUURRGGGGHHH MADE ME SOOO MAD, SO OF COURSE I USE THIS ON MY HUSBAND!! LOL
