No. None of them are. And we wouldn't give a flying f*ck if anyone is gay. Who cares anyway? It's been going on for years. This question has been asked so many times, I thought people should've gotten over it already.
Davey has had relationships with women and Jade has a gorgeous girlfriend. Myspace doesn't prove anything.
To ~crystal~. The lyrics go "He bit my lip. SHE bit my lip" "He wanted love, SHE wanted love". The lyrics tell a story about two lovers and shows two perspectives. From the guy's perspective "She wanted love" and the girl's perspective "He wanted love". Two different views.
Jade has defended and said many times that Davey isn't gay. Here's a quote from him:

Someone's affiliation with a gay person doesn't mean that person/group is gay. There have been rumours that Davey and/or Jade are gay, but there is no proof. Read some of the blogs written by Davey in myspace, you'll see he took fancy to a certain woman whose eyes are very large and pretty. Also, everyone in the band is straight-edge except the drummer, so that means they don't drink, smoke, have sex, or take up a partner. However, this still doesn't give proof of whether or not anyone in the band is gay. Just because they don't seem to have girlfriends/wives doesn't mean they're gay though. Jeffery Starr is obviously gay, but just because he's on AFI's friend list doesn't mean anyone in AFI is gay. Besides, AFI still f-ing rocks!

i imagine Eric is only a finished douche who needs to ordinary strategies to hearken to the music and not at all how they offer the effect of being. i imagine i'd have an Eric at my college. on each occasion he says "AFI sucks!" or "AFI is gay!" I tell him to close up and turn him off. I were listening to AFI for a lengthy time period, i actually truly loved their music, and then I regarded up the band individuals. even notwithstanding they'd look a touch *atypical* to maximum individuals, I chosen no longer to guage them and in simple terms pay interest to the music. it really is what it really is all about. And, FYI, Davey has defended himself different circumstances on how he and AFI isn't "gay," "emo," or the different finished BS assumptions.

Come on...get over the "is afi gay" questions already. I hang with plenty of gay people, I'm not gay. dude, you should have saved the five points and looked in the resolved questions section....pfft.
For all of you who are talking sh*t about AFI, I'd love to know why you think they sold out....and being "gay" and "they hit mainstream" doesn't count. I bet no one can give a legit reason.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I do know they are definetly not homophobic. I used to go to AFI shows in the mid 1990's (before they were known) at both Berkeley Square, and the 924 Gilman in Berkeley, CA.
One of the rules of 924 Gilman was that the bands that play there are not homophobic in anyway. Just because they have a friend on myspace who may be homosexual does not mean they are gay.
