my mobile rings once or twice and then stops, and the display says 'no number'. What does this mean, it seems different from a withheld number.

it means that there is no number. ur phone didnt recognized it.

It's probably from one of these rat companies that want you to switch to their expensive service plan. They have a an automated dialler that rings a whole batch of numbers at once, then drops all the calls except to the unfortunate chap who answers first. It is effectively a withheld number.

NO NUMBER means WITHHELD. Calls form the internet come up at WITHHELD or NO NUMBER. On my k800i it comes up as no number aswell. nothing to worry about.

the number is withheld. maybe its because its from a company it says no number? mine does that aswell.

some one is ringing you, its just that your service provider isnt sending you the number. it could be a call from a foreign country

It may be somebody calling you from Skype.
