A big part of comparing them is the teams they are on. Tatupu has a lot less opportunities to make big plays because Seattle's defense isn't that great. The Ravens can shut most teams down which allows Lewis to move around more freely and make more plays. I still think Lewis is better, but in the next couple years the Tatupu's youth will make him better than Lewis.

You must live in the Pacific Northwest to be asking a question like this. Seriously though, Ray Lewis is the better player, but I believe Tatupu is more valuable to his team. Take Lewis off the Ravens, and you still have an above-average defense. Take Tatupu off the Seahawks, and the defense is just not very good.

I pick Lofa for right now, he's much quicker and can play coverage much better.
Obviously Ray Lewis is the better player overall

Ray Lewis's time is slowly passing by; he's not the impact palyer he once was. Tatupu is good but hasn't reached superstar status yet. But I still think, right now, Lewis is better.

Tatupu. Lewis is the best LB on the prison team, but the only way he made the pro-bowl was as a back up due to injury. He's not even the best LB on his own team. Time for him to go.
