Turtles are vertebrates; just like us, they have an internal skeleton that includes a vertebral column formed by vertebrae.

The segmented vertical structure extending along the middle of the carapace is its spine.

They are vertebrates and they possess a vertebral column. They belong to phylum chordates (those who have backbone and spinal cord) and to class reptiles.

They are animals who were kept in the invertebrate mollusc phylum in around 1984 or 85. Molluscs are creatures who have soft body, no backbone and a hard shell like snails, squids etc. But due to the discovery of the backbone in them, they are vertebrates.
