Children will be 2, 4 and 5. We have done long trips before, my kids are used to it, and are all good travelers. Just looking for interesting places to purposely stop. Any good suggestions...let me know. Send links if possible.

Cathy-Thanks for the heads up on the 3 day pass. I used to live in South FL, but have only done the drive once when I was moving down, and once when I was moving back. I have friends in the Knoxville/Chattanooga area--and we were going to stop there for sure.

I drive from Cincinnati to Orlando several times a year. I go I-75 and I am a History Buff....So I know the places on I-75...Lexington, Ky Horse Park is awesome..Ky Derby is there. In Jellico, Tenn. there is a great state park. If you want a side trip in Tenn...Gatlinburg fun...It is the gateway to the Smokey Mountains. Lots of motels, l like McKays Inn on the main drag. The famous pancake house is across the street and the famous ski lift that goes over the mountains is next door. Now to Georgia. Stop at the welcome center for Georgia history and free coupons. I love to stop at the Chattanooga exit and visit the civil war battle grounds of Chickamaunga. You can also see Ruby Falls and Rock City. there. We stay south of Atlanta because Atlanta has 8 lanes of traffic and is a nightmare to find anything..Georgia is a long state to get thru. But once you get to the Florida line. Stop and get free orange juice at the Florida visitors burearu. If you are going to Disney, Epcot, MGM, or Univerisal., Remember most people buy a 3 day pass and only use a few days of them so start asking around at your motels and such and you can buy an unexpired one for cheap. When we travel we buy 3 day passes on purpose and trade for National parks. You only buy a pass one time doing this. Hope this helps. I have a winter home near Orlando and fly into there too, when I don't drive.

it extremely is going to be a coarse force with 2 small ones. in case you have pushed this a ways till now and had no issues, decide for it. different clever you would be greater useful off struggling with 2 nights. Northern Tennessee first night and South of Atlanta the 2nd night. See some attractions alongside the way. Clarksville, TN may well be a solid stop. The inns heavily isn't finished because of fact the single hundred and first is in Iraq. Chattanoga may well be greater useful. that should bypass away a shorter force in to Orlando.
