He has a little bit of yellow on the tops of his shell. Like in the middle of his shell where there are kinda ridges...what causes that and it is bad?

It's a little hard to judge based on that bit of information! Turtles have natural colour variations on their carapaces, which might be what you're seeing. On the other hand, they have specific diet requirements for their carapaces to stay healthy and hard. If you are worried, you should probably get someone, preferably a vet, to look at him.

maybe that symptoms is a sign of aging.
you can refer to a vet for medication of your pet.
