It is a question of proportion. Female athletes, generally, have less strength than men, so three sets for a woman more or less equals five sets for men. Ergo, equal prizes.
There will always be problems with the sexes in sport. My wife and I both play cricket - should she have to wear a box, and should I have to wear a sports bra?

I think it is fair as it is a sport, the prize money is for being the best in your chosen sport. In showjumping there is no segregation and the women compete in the same class as the men. It is not the fault of the players that the Tennis assosiation choose to segregate them......interesting if they didn't though!

Finally, equal work for equal pay. This is a first. How could that be? I wish it could spill over into the other careers for women

Men don`t work twice as hard! what about if they win in 3 sets, plus womans matches are more entertaining, how do you think Wimbeldon would fair if there was no womans matches at all? plus poor T-V veiwing.
