How long should a wireless router last? My first one lasted about 18 months and my second one looks to be about the same (it's fading fast).

up to two to three years. Depends on how much you use it and treat the network

We had a Linksys router that lasted several years and we only retired it because Verizon FIOS gave us their own router. Check your card, the cards do go bad and are subject to wear and tear. Your ISP help line can tell you how to check if the card is bad.

I have a 2.4G linksys that's going on 3 years. I should get another one just because technology has changed.
