My wife's ex wound up working at the same plant where I do, and we use the same health club. He has become my best friend, which some others find to be strange. My wife is comfortable with our friendship and he has even been in our home a few times.

I'm not a man, so I hope it's okay with you that I answered. I have become friends with my ex-husband's wife. Whenever my daughter had performances and graduations, both my ex and his wife were invited. In fact, the two of them have been invited to my mom's house for some of our family functions, and the both of them usually stop by my house on the holidays. It makes things a lot less stressful when it comes to issues concerning our daughter.

If my ex husband was the sort of person anybody could be friends with, I never would have divorced him! But my new husband's a really nice guy and tries hard to be nice to my ex.

It all depends on the circumstances. If my wife and her ex had an amicable relationship, I would try not to get in the way of that.

My brother has remained friends with his ex and also is friends with her husband, they have parties and her husband has helped out with work on my brother's home.
As for me my husband is jealous of my ex, he would get mad if he even thought I had a conversation with him.
It purely depends on the individuals involved.

If you are all comfy with it, then what does it matter if anyone else feels comfortable with it. They don't know your circumstances and don't know how you are all doing, so tell them to butt out and leave your friendship be.
