I mean it's ok to help them out , but I've noticed a lot of them get on here (especially young ones) and get their answers. Is that really helping them, or are they just writing down what they read and not really learning? I'de be interested to here what teachers have to say.

You have a great point. Sure they'll get credit for their homework or whatever assignment. However in the long run they'll never learn that concept. It's the same as cheating.

I have had the same thought myself... but students will have to learn to check their sources. There are plenty of answers here that are misleading or totally wrong. If these kids simply accept the answers without checking for themselves, they'll face the consequences of that.

I don't think it's wrong to offer guidance. There are lots of families that cannot or will not help with homework, so it's OK for kids to have somewhere to turn. I just hope it's taken with a grain of salt for the most part.

They should get the answer with the steps or source. It is up to the student to take advantage of the information and apply whatever knowledge they have received.

students should find their own answers, I do see some people giving asnwers but many are just directing them to where they can find answers. The students on here run the risk of getting false answers.

no.
students should be required to cite each of their answers when they turn in homework.
