I am looking for places to take my girlfriend for day trips and entertainment. We live in Kerrville. I don't want to travel more than 120 miles(one way).

I'd go with the wineries.
In early June, the ROT motorcycle rally is a great time to peoplewatch on 6th street for about a week. But very risque.

Austin has a bat bridge on Guadelupe Street downtown by the Austin American Statesman Newspaprer building. Gajiilions of bats come out every night at twilight. - Don't watch from below!

If you want to really get away and looking for true "country", I'd go to the Hill Country State Natural Area.

Fredericksberg and Boerne have a lot of shops and places to eat..there are alot of Wineries along the way...If nothing else the drive is nice...
