I've never been there but I find your countries wonderful in history and culture. I wanted to get away from war for a little while and share information about our cultures. I'm 15, I live in Ferguson, North Carolina,USA I have a pony and three cats and a sheep dog. I have two sisters One older, one younger. We found out we had cousins from the highlands of Scotland and in England.

Now, what ever you'd like to share. This would be like getting to know the people of the earth in a kind way.

I got carried away. I normally LIKE people and don't judge them until I hear them talk or see them act. I like to have friends from all over the English, Scotlish, Australian and more. Sorry.

No war here, okay, just friends asking information about their different cultures.

Can anyone tell me about the underground vaults of Edinburg. I read a book about them but first hand accounts are great. Are they spooky?

Please forgive me for misspelling Edinburgh, I feel really bad. I read books and usually there's a highlander or a handsome English knight on the cover, When I can go to collage I think I want to be an historian of the UK. How do you say it, Brillient, spot on! :)

I saw the vaults in Edinburgh via Direct TV hosted by the Most Haunted group. It was mind bogglingly spook. Has anyone gone done in the and heard the raps and taps and the stone ring?

I'm from Glasgow, Scotland but studied in edinburgh. I'm now living abroad. The underground vaults you refer to is a street under the city chambers in Edinburgh (where the council meets) When they built the city chambers they built it over this street and left it the way it was. supposedly it had been barricaded off due to plague. You can organise a trip down there.
When you can, organise a trip to Scotland. See the lowlands and the highlands. You'll find we aren't much different :)

We gave to the world - Telephone,Televison, Penicillin, Tar McAadam(for the roads), dunlop tyres, ultrasound for pregnant woman, shabby raincoats (mac)adhesive stamps,U.S. Navy ,first man mentioned in the Bible is a Scot, King James VI, Scotch, the Bank of England, The US Constitutuion based on the Declaration of Abroath, bicycle invented by Kirkpatrick Macmillan - the list is endless - So youreally are from good stock - A big hello from Scotland

the better parts of Sheffield get snow maximum winters, and the city is on the fringe of the genuine District so would meet your favor for fantastically surroundings. it really is totally multicultural, with 2 great universities and really some common ethnic minority communities, and is mostly a really pleasant city. Jobs are very confusing to come back by everywhere in England at present, and that i do not imagine you'd be allowed to artwork on a student visa besides.
