The first "house" traced back is in a village called "byblos" on the seashore in Lebanon.
remains of the house are still there amid ruins dating back thousands of years. it was made of rocks piled onto each other.

although it is now just a small village it was once a very affluent city where the bible ( byblos) was launched.
