If money is no object, go for Hawaii or San Diego.

That depends on your income, as well as your personal tastes California is one state that has the best of both worlds on every level, income wise and preferences, there are areas of slow paced country living and of course major bustling cities, where I live, although pretty expensive is pretty much in the middle of it all especially weather wise, One weekend I can drive an hour and half and be in the Sierra Mountiains sipping a hot toddie in a cabin surrounded by snow the next weekend drive an hour and half in the opposite direction and be walking on the pier in San Francisco enjoying sunshine and the ocean breezes. I can drive for an hour and half in yet another direction and be in the middle of farm country and sweating like a pig, turn around go in the other direction and you have cool spring breezes beckoning.
