I have a brand new Hp laptop with Vista already installed. Have system requirements. Think it may be my graphics (Nvidia GeForce GO 6150 graphics) that may be the problem. Any ideas?

Laptop is not the problem. Have successfully run it on XP on old laptop.

Not sure whether it is the 3d graphics causing the problem. Can't find an updated driver. Think this could be the problem.

Really stuck and fed up!

the graphics you are using are intergrated, but the nvidia geforce go 6150 are equivelent to the nvidia geforce 6200 and these cards are easy capable of playing the sims
i reckon your problem may lie in the direct x update, direct x 9.0c is the latest version of the microsoft direct x graphic driver and is nessecary for running all modern games, you can download it from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.mspx
also your graphics driver could be a older version of the nvidia vista driver ,also you should update this from http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x86_100.65.html,this driver only came out this month so it probally newer than the one you got with the system
finally if problems persist try using the compatibility wizard in vista, but i try to avoid this(never seems to work)
good luck

Why guess this application made by Windows (Microsoft) will tell you if your system can handle the game and will alter your laptop to try and allow the game to be able to be played.
However sadly I work for Dell and we have had numerous complaints concerning games and laptops are NOT able to run games of this type.

windows vista has problems running most older software so you may have to wait for a patch to come out through EA.
