Not being funny but have you been to Bondi?

I was really disappointed with Bondi ..... if you have been to Bondi and like it then yeh but do not do because you think it is the perfect location . go to Manly it is much better

There's no restriction on marrying in public places in Sydney - even Bondi Beach. But if you want some romantic places I would think Manly would be a lot better. Bondi's way too crowded and dirty - Manly is clean.

Anyway, you can put your guests up in hotels near to both and they can book directly. All the hotels will give you a wedding reception room for peanuts with all the glitz, but best to deal with them direcly by phone initially.

You'll need a celebrant ... but a wedding organiser will likely be able to do that easily - just type "Sydney Celebrant Sydney / wherever" into Google to find one.

Good luck with your wedding plans - hope these links help:

You can arrange to have a wedding just about anywhere. Contact your marriage celebrant and s/he will know what you can and cannot do and whether you need Council permission. Lots of people do get married at Bondi and it is an attractive setting with many suitable areas.

One thing to remember about beach weddings is that the sea breeze is likely to be blowing. This will create havoc with veils, hats, programs etc. The breeze is strongest in the afternoon so plan for the morning if the wind could be a problem

As everyone has said...Bondi is a tourist beach in inner city Sydney...its only claim to fame is being so close to the CBD.

If you want to get married in NSW...try Port McQuarie, South West Rocks, Byron Bay or Coffs Harbour.

As others have said, Qld is the real choce though...Noosa by far, Coolongatta, South Stradbroke (Couran Cove resort esp) or if you want to travel, Port Douglas is beautiful too. Good thing about Noosa is you can go to Steve Irwins Zoo too!

Main prob with Bondi is privacy...to small. gaurenteed you will get in someones way.

It's much more stylish at the top of Sydney Tower. Bondi can be naff nowadays.
You can get the captain of the Endeavour to do it too, Darling Harbour, on board reception 1770-style probable if you ask.
NSW 2000 has lots of great places for a wedding!
Enjoy your day wherever it's held.

congrats on the wedding! which is soon lol
bondi isnt a good beach
i live in sydney and never go there... always go to dee why or manly or even palm beach, coogee or southern beaches.
theyre the best beaches and there huge and full of people.bondi is tiny. overcrowded etc.
but if you still want to have a wedding there, theres a nice hotel or resturant right across the path from the beach and last time i went there (at night) there was a wedding so i rekon it would be a great place if your having a wedding at bondi.

congrats

hi, i got marrried in Oz, in Noosa QLD - Bondi i think is a trashy beach and does not have a beautiful background, especailly for photos. If you have to get married in Sydney then there are plenty of other beautiful beaches. Alternatively if you not restricted to NSW then there are a plethora of stunning beaches across Oz.
