You know those sandy inclines you need the Mach Bike to go up? Every time you go up one without the Mach Bike, it pushes you back, and it counts as two steps. With the Acro Bike, you can go up the slope and slide back down two or three times a second.

If you put your Pokemon in Day Care, then will gain experience based on how many steps you take. The more steps you take, the more experience they gain. See where I'm going here?

Put the Pokemon you want to level up in Day Care, go to a sandy incline (there's one at the north-west end of the desert to the east of Fallarbor), get out your Acro Bike, and hold UP on the d-pad.

There's an even better way to do it if you have a Gameboy Player for your Gamecube. Position your character, on the Acro Bike, under the sandy incline and unplug your controller.

When you plug a controller in, or turn on the system, it reads the current position of the control stick as the center, or neutral, position. So, hold DOWN on the control stick and plug the controller in. The system will think that DOWN is the neutral position, so when you let go of the control stick it will return to the central position- which the system now thinks is UP.

Now your character will go up without you having to hold the controller. I've left the game on all night while I slept like this- one time, the Spheal that I put in Day Care gained over forty levels. To make your character stop moving up, just unplug the controller, make sure the control stick is in the center position, and plug it back in.

What you need to do is clone your Pokemon. Here's what to do:

Step 1. Give your Pokemon a Rare Candy to hold.

Step 2. Go to the Battle Tower at the Battle Frontier.

Step 3. Go to the PC in the upper right hand corner, then Deposit the Pokemon that is holding the Rare Candy.

Step 4. Save the game. Withdraw the same Pokemon.

5. Go to the lady working at the Link Multi Battle Room. Enter a competition. Select two Pokemon (You aren't going to actually enter, so don't worry.) then she will tell you to save. Say yes.

6. There will be a brief pause. The game will then ask you to save. Say no. Immediately shut down the game.

7. Turn the game back on, and go to the PC. The original Pokemon will still be there, still holding the Rare Candy. The Clone will be in your party, also holding a Rare Candy.

8. Congratulations, you've cloned your first Emerald Pokemon. This cheat can be repeated unlimited times, providing that there is always an empty box to clone in.

9. Enjoy your hard-earned Level 100!!! ;)

If you have pokémon XG on Gamecube you can complete a sidequest that will help you with this task. Complete the main story and win one round in the Orre colisseum to trigger the side-quest. Complete it and you will be given a Lucky Egg.

You can also get a Lucky egg on Fire Red/Leaf Green. They are the occasional held item of wild Chansey. Chansey are tough to catch as it is but they only hold a Lucky egg 5% of the time, so good luck finding one that way.

The lucky egg boosts the ammount of EXP your pokémon gains if it is given as a hold item. It will gain 1.5x more EXP, like it was a traded pokémon.
