at times my legs are fine the next thing I know it gets a sensation to move'em and get "gitchy" i've always thought that it's a restless leg is there anything I can do about it ? because at times when it acts up I've been told by my wife that it'll look like I'm layin in bed havin a seizure.

** please note I'm not looking for the answer "go see a Dr" only because well lets face it I'm looking for more of a home remedy since I haven't seen a Dr. since I was 8 **

this happens anytime through the day it's not just at night...
it'll just spring up out of no where it doesn't seem to be stress related as I can be sitting down with my wife playing video games an it'll kick in...

By gitchy, you might mean twitchy. As in jerking. You might try potasium I use it for cramps.

Hello why dont you try some of the following and see if any of these help you?

1. One of the most effective ways to relax before bed is through the use of some breathing techniques. One of these techniques that many people say works well is so called deep breathing technique. Here is how it can work:

- lie on back
- inhale slowly, through your nose
- hold breath for couple seconds
- relax the air out
- repeat cycle

This should help you feel relaxed all over your body; after a few minutes go to bed and hopefully your mind set is good for sleep.

2. Take a nice hot bath just before bed and afterwards rub some lavender pure essential oil into your legs. I know its a womans smell but it works well on relaxing the body and tention areas. You can wash it off in the morning. Its cheap to buy and from a health shop. And you can rub it neat onto your skin without needing a carrier oil. Its very safe.

3. When you first get into bed try this technique which ive used many times before. Your basically telling your body to calm down, relax and sleep. It does work. Concentrate on each part of your body. Let your toes and feet go limp, then your hands and arms and slowly work through until you feel every part of your body relax and loosen up. It only takes a few minutes with practice and really helps.

Well the only thing I can think of is you have short circuits in your nerve bundles. Nerves have a sheath round them to prevent this, made mostly of lecithin. Our bodies take anything they need NOW to hell with the consequences! so you need to try lecithin granules, 1tbls heaped per day, and ~1g vitamin C 2X a day so the lecithin has assistance to get back in. Do not expect joy in anything under 4 weeks. & ensure you exercise your leggs to get the blood flow down there so your body can fix itself.

You might want to go see a doctor about that.
