Blood from the left thumb first must flow back to the right side of the heart, thru the lungs, thru the left side of the heart, and then out thru the aorta. Probably only a little of it would then make it to the right thumb. One easy way to follow blood is to label the blood with a radioactive tracer and then re-inject it. As I inidated above, though, it would start spreading out and diluting as it flows thru the body. Also, it would be really hard to inject labelled blood into the thumb (It has go into a vein)

inject some radioactive marker in the lefttumb
hold a geigercounter on the right tumb and wait for the ticks

when you are placed inside a mri tube you can visualize the flow of the radioactive marker through youyr system

Warning this can only be done by a profesional nurse !
