A humming noise is coming through my pc speakers. It just started doing this 3 or 4 days ago. I have not moved anything. Everything is in the same place as it has been for nearly 2 yrs. now. I have my pc connected to my surround sound, and the noise is coming through there as well when I have my receiver set to my computer. Any suggestions?

I think this is one of those "something is going bad" situations. Perhaps some RF shielding is breaking down. Or a CPU, or power supply, or fan motor is failing and setting up interference or a ground loop problem. Was anything moved (and replaced), unplugged, dusted, bumped, or otherwise altered in any way 3 - 4 days ago? If not, then it sure sounds like something internal is failing. Good luck trying to narrow it down.

sounds like a grounding concern between the mixer and the pc. The RCA cables won't have sufficient grounding that's inducing the hum you pay attention (probably AC hum at 60 Hz). it may sound cheesy yet take a twine and restoration it below a screw on the pc and then connect it below a screw on the mixer.

Reinstall your sound card driver. If no result, then remove windows and reinstall it. I have faced same problem and could solve it this way.
