Well, there are "Twin Buttes" in Yakima, Columbia, and Skamania counties--but here is a geologic description of some Pleistocene age volcanic Twin Buttes:
Description of rocks from local geologic map published by Washington Geologic Survey:
Basalt of Twin Buttes--Medium- to dark-gray, phyric, olivine
basalt (Hammond,1980).Vesicular to scoriaceous, blocky jointed flows form the summits of East Twin Butte and West Twin Butte. The total cumulative thickness of the flows is 30-120m.The flanks of the buttes are composedof a high percentage of cinders. The unit's stratigraphic position suggests a middle Pleistocene age.
