I have a 95 mustang GT and for the last month or so after driving it for say 20 minutes or so it will bog down and start to lose power. When i go to shift gears and get over 2 or 3 rpms is when it starts to bog down really bad and this last time it shut down on me, but it did start right back up. I have tried everthing but a new fuel pump which i have been told we dont need ,so any ideas would be greatly apperciated. Thanks.

First, does your car have a distributer, if it does not, the o2 sensor could be causing you the problem, i had this same symptom with my 93 Ford Escort, When the o2 sensor gets warm it sends information to the computer which regulates fuel and spark and all of that stuff. When I changed the o2 sensor, my car started running fine.

02 sensor, catalytic converter, fuel filter, fuel pump, something clogging the air intake. How do you know you do not need a new fuel pump? Have you checked the pressure it is putting out on the fuel rail?

Check your catalytic converters, classic symptoms of it failing and reducing back pressure.
