Me in my brother were the only white kids at the housing project we grew up in.

The statement I think of was said to me by another white guy... It wasn't directed toward me, It was presented as if I would agree with him. It was at that point that I realized how ****** up the white suburban folks really are.

The other day but the racism wasnt directed towards me i just got off the train and as i was in a rush i bought my ticket at the ticket stand of the station i just got off and this old man and his wife were standing behind me and three indian boys who were doing nothing wrong just talking a bit loudly came up the stairs and the old man just lent next to me and said "someone should shut them up" and then said "wont be me as i dont like there colour or people" cant remember which one it was and me and the inspector just looked at him odd and the sad thing was it seemed like his wife agreed with him.

I just hope they didnt pass on the views to any children they had.

Yes, unfortunately.
I'm white and my husband is black and his mother is one of the biggest racists I've ever known - towards blacks, whites and anything else there is, particularly gays.
It's very embarassing and extremely annoying.
Of course, whenever she says something against whites, she will tell me that it doesn't pertain to me, as I'm "different."
I never said anything much, I just let her be in her little ignorant world, but my husband had told her at some point that she cannot say things like that in front of me. I was grateful for that, but I will never be able to forget what used to come out of her mouth.

Yes. It was the first time it has happened to me and I was so shocked that I just stared at the guy like an idiot. If that happened to me now I would've punched the guy.

Yes. I am white and work with a lot of blacks and hispanics. I get racial remarks made to me and my race everyday. They wouldn't like it if I did the same.

sorry no. i always have a comeback for racism

as for my friends, none of them are racists, but they and I all hate everybody equally the same........so that makes us equal opportunists.
