Does anyone know the significance of 11:11? I've heard of people saying that they have wished on 11:11.. does that mean 11:11 time wise or date wise? And if you know any other myths behind this.. please state them. Thanks

It is said that when one sees 11, 1:11, or 11:11 it is a message that it is time to wake up. and pay attention to what is really happening.

Supposedly their are guardian spirits who are trying to contact you and warn you of some impending problem or whatever.I had forgotten the nightly visits around the age of 11 at 1:11 am. Bizarre memories for sure. My therapist has me on meds that make it all seem like some distant dream or delusion. Without any proof it becomes an almost useless memory.I do have what others refer to as scoop marks though. Memories of surgeries etc. Many unpleasant memories but a few interesting ones such as spontaneous tissue or cellular regeneration.People healed from cancers and different looking beings and a couple of winged angels as well. Much of which has been referred to extraterrestrial special effects. Just do a search; 11:11 guardians. If you join they will eventually ask for money. Mostly they claim to get messages for humanity and pass them on to you in an e-mail. I still get them but rarely if ever read them. I hadn't heard before about making any wishes though.

Some of this myth can't be traced any further than the end of WW I. The armistice that ended the Great War was signed on November 1, 1918 at 11:00 in the morning. (11th hour, 11th day, 11th month)
Beyond that, the Germanic countries celebrate a time called Fasching, which is roughly equivalent to Carnival or Mardi Gras. The difference is when it starts. German Fasching officially begins November 11, at 11:11 in the morning and ends Ash Wednesday. By custom, you cannot divorce your spouse for anything he/she does during Fasching because it is "expected" they may get particularly festive at this time.

11 is associated with the moon, mysteriousness, judgement and (continuous) cycles. Double 11 (11:11), associated with time, is supposed to represent a repeated cycle of lunacy (or a monthly cycle of something mysterious).
Some people attribute this to "craziness" but its meaning is supposed to be closer to things like werewolves (because they go crazy with the full moon, thinking that they are wolves, etc). This is especially true with the time element and why people like George Noory (a popular mystery talk show host) often gets asked if he is a werewolf because he says that he sees this number repeatidly. Such a cycle is said to be forever. Also, since 11 is associated with "judgement", such a thing, like becoming a werewolf, is a curse, a judgement for doing something very evil.
Personally, without evidence, I don't believe any of it.

I'm not sure where it came from, but for quite a few years every time I glance at the clock and see 11:11, I make a wish....

it means time and if you make a wish at 11:11, your wish will come true. Also, if you think of a person you love, they will fall in love with you. The last one is less common
