If they lied and you believed them you were decieved, which is understandable i suppose, but if they lied and you knew could you support them?

Depends if it were a life or death lie I guess.Everyone has lied,usually to cover up something they are ashamed of.But i think thats how we learn lifes lessons.I dont think anyone lies to deliberatley hurt someone. how does that saying go, lie to me once shame on you,lie to me twice shame on me? I think thats how it goes. And also I have found it hurts more not to fogive. Even if you have to end the relationship,try to go your seperate ways peacefully and dont take it personally. if talking about politicians they all lie but you can't really dwell on the lies unless it is just over the top like the clinton campain I couldn't support them with all of their lies going on

Well, since I don't generally forgive someone whom I know who has lied and/or deceived me, why would I support them.
