I know what u mean, the old classics become cheesy and the effects become cheap looking, I watched Highlander recently and some of the acting and effects were shite, but at the time it was first released it was amazing, wasnt it??

Point break was a good movie. I watched it when I was nine. I'm 13 and not allowed to watch rated R movies! It's not like I don't know what they are doing! Sorry. Some adults are just... It did get boring know that I think about it.

I traveled to the future in a time machine and watched next year's films so that they will be better than I remember them when I go back.

Yes it happens often. It is because film makers now put trends and fads in the movies that lose meaning in a few years. It does not happen as much with the old classics. Also you have changed and hopefully matured so have developed different tastes.

Almost always. Sometimes it is best to leave things alone and just keep the memory. Times and beliefs change and movies reflect those beliefs of the time in which they were made. They mean something to you at that time but when you watch them later they don't mean the same things. Just like real memories. Keep and enjoy them. Don't re-write them if they are good. Now, if they are bad feel free to replace them with good ones!!!

Yes! I remembered An American Werewolf in London being very good. I watched it again last year and it was a snooze.
