get DSL if you have dial up. or get cable if you want AWESOME speeds!! there is really nothing that those stupid internet accelerators can do (they all really suck anyway and slow you system down) comcast, kowlogy or Bellsouth are the best.

If you have dial up then most ISPs have this Top Speed stuff that downloads the websites and keeps them in your computer so next time you go to that website it loads faster but as far as downloading music or watching streaming video there's no other way around it but to get broadband service.

delete unused software like extra programs u don't use. delete the items in your recycle bin
this slows your computer down dont download alot of stuff
