If you have spare time and nothing to do with it how about looking into volunteer work in your area? Not only will you have something to do, you will be helping others by providing assistance. Also, on-profit groups that help people save us tax payers money because then the government doesn`t have to put out the money to fund these services. If interested but don`t know how to find an organization you would like to donate your time to, try calling your local library or united way for a list. There is always the local shelter if you are an animal lover.

I garden or work with plants. Believe me when you are seriously into gardening, nothing distracts you and you don't have time to think about how bored you used to be.
The best thing to do is stop thinking of yourself and think of someone else .... just think of the time you are wasting thinking about being bored and how many people you could be helping instead.

Maybe take a shower and enjoy. Watch TV. Go to a mall. Go to the movies. And yes I do get bored a lot.

flick pennies at homeless people, throw mables in front of a procession of nuns, tell orphans their real parents are killers on the run from argentinian federales, oink at police officers, do the robot in the middle of interstate traffic, paint a picture of a face on your butt and walk backwards on your hands. all very fun things to replace boredom with - see how many you can accomplish in one night!
