I hit my head last night at a basketball game cause I went up for a rebound and I came down really hard and I was lookin at the tape from last night and my head kinda did like a bouncy ball thing.. it bounced up.. should I go to the doctor and get it checked out? what do you think it is?

You don't say how badly shaken up you felt after hitting your head.

Were you knocked unconscious, even for a few seconds?
Did you feel nauseous, or actually throw up?
Were you able to see and hear OK right away?
Were you able to talk in a coherent manner?
Have you been experiencing any numbness anywhere in your body?

If you feel like your regular self today, you will probably be OK. But to be on the safe side, you why don't you go see a doctor, to be checked for signs of a concussion, or intra-cranial bleeding.

It certainly wouldnt hurt to see the doctor just in case of anything being wrong and I think it would ease your mind. bettyk

Unless you have blurred vision, a headache, ringing in your ears, etc.... there's no reason to see a doctor.

I think that it is just swelling and it will go away in about 5 days. good luck.

well if your head is swole or sore than you need to go to the doctor but still if it isnt swole or sore you still need to grt your head checked out!!!
