Australasia is comprised of Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and is located south of the Equator and very much within the Tropic of Capricorn. The terrain of the Australasian region varies from deserts and interior mountain ranges, fringed by verdant coastal plains in Australia, to an incredibly fertile and mountainous New Zealand.
Oceania encompasses many countries within Polynesia, Micronesia and Melanesia. The countries that represent Oceania include American Samoa, Christmas Island, Cocos Islands, Cook Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, Guam, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, New Caledonia, Niue, Norfolk Island, Northern Marianas, Palau, Pitcairn, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.

Australasia is basically Australia and PNG. Oceania is the islands of the Pacific. I think it is both a geographical and zoological definition.

Just the name same place. Google it, it's better to try Oceania or New Australia/ New Oceania.
