Yes they do. When the new antlers grow, they are covered with a fuzzy looking covering called velvet. The velvet contains the blood vessels supplying the new antler growth. As the antlers harden and the velvet dries up, the moose will beat the antlers against bushes to remove the velvet, which can be seen hanging in ragged strips around the antlers until it is finally shed.

The noise of them crashing around in the bushes carries a long distance.

Yes. The male moose will drop its antlers after mating season in order to conserve energy for the winter season. It will then regrow them in the spring. The antlers take about three to five months to grow. This makes their antlers one of the fastest growing organs in the world. The antlers initially have a layer of skin, which will shed off once fully grown.

Yes. White-tailed deer, mule deer, elk, moose..the males of these species all grow antlers and shed them annually. The following year's growth is typically larger than the shedded antlers.

Yes. By definition, antlers are annual growths. (Horns are not regrown each year.) Therefore, anytime you know an animal has antlers, you know they fall off and are regrown each year.
