What are the pros and cons of the new HP or Compaq laptops? Any minor or major problems or criticisms?

how are the speakers where they are placed now?

what about the touchpad?

do they still run hot?

is 14.1" screen size very different than 15.4"?

I have a HP that is about a year old, the speakers are in the front, closest to your stomach, the touchpad is wide and runs on synaptics touchpad (which works great) and they can get hot every once in while but that is only when I am doing so many tasks and usually you can only tell if the laptop is directly in contact with your skin.
