Pick up a "Reader" newspaper at a bookstore or grocery store and see what's going on.

I know on Sunday's the International Cottages in Balboa Park are open (The Int'l cottages usually have free food samples) and there is a Chinese New Year celebration going on as well (http://www.sandiegochinese.net/sdcc/cnyf.htm)

The Hostel group in Point Loma is having a barbeque tonight at 7:00pm. They usually have a good list of free/cheap things to do and you can meet some really cool people. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g60750-d115593-Reviews-HI_Point_Loma_Hostel-San_Diego_California.html

Online there is the website "San Diego this week" that always has a host of things to do.

I LOVE SAN DIEGO!!! awesome place.....can't wait to be back there in a couple months. I don't think there is anything "free" in San Diego. I believe there are some "cheap" stuff as far as shopping & dining goes -pretty much the same all over California, but if your looking for "cheap housing" you might as well be on welfare. Don't expect a cheap place in a good neighborhood. Don't get me wrong here, if you want a nice house in San Diego or anywhere, then you need to work hard & save your money. Don't always look for "cheap" stuff. You rarely get the quality you pay for even though it's cheap.

When I first moved to San Diego, I thought this site led me to some interesting activities in nearby La Jolla. Not too far, if you don't mind the drive:

Many prayers have lengthy gone up & God has heard the prayers. We now favor to thank God for the individuals who're making a distinction & for the safe practices of those who're stuck in this subject. I thank God that their needs are dealt with with more suitable than enouph & plenty left over. That the peace of mind organizations will pay the cost. That the authorities will pay regardless of further it really is critical to reconstruct, etc... yet, i imagine we favor to look into what we (US) would have performed to avert this interior the first position. per chance we weren't praying enouph prior to time. The Lord advised me no longer to wish about the fires, yet to wish for the individuals & their safe practices & wellbeing. also, thank God that there hasn't been more suitable than 2 deaths conventional so a recommendations. God is fairly giving favor & protecting human beings by this very confusing time. What the enemy has meant to smash lives, the Lord has prevented many deaths.

My family just went downtown to the Chinese New Year festival. It's right next to Cost Plus Imports.
