Well, he's clearly in love with you and he's asking you to marry him. And he's saying that he's proud to be yours just as he's proud to have you, and nothing can keep him from being with you... it's kinda simple...

By the way, congrats. =]

Either he sent it to the wrong person, he sent it to you as a joke, or he really does love you and truly wants to marry you.
I can't think of any other reasons why such a message would be sent to you.
Have a chat when you get the chance to call India!
Good luck!

My take is that he loves you and wants to marry you - am I missing something? If you are both males, you may not be able to legally marry (depends on where you are living) but you could have a spiritual commitment.

Sounds like something came over him and made him really emotional... I think if he was sincere about wanting to be with you forever, he wouldn't propose over txt message. If I were you, I'd act casual, tell him you love him too, but that you are going to ignore that proposal until he does it RIGHT! :)

good luck!

He's asking you to be committed. He's your boyfriend -- why does this surprise you? But you might want to move and leave no forwarding address if you plan on turning him down.

Offhand, I'd say he's proposing. Congratulations! (Or he really loves you, which isn't bad, either.)
