My friends and I always had a rule about dressing for concerts:
never wear band merch or things with the bands logo on it to their concert. It just makes you seem sort of...obsessed? What's the word I'm looking for?
Anyways, we recently attended a show and a good 50% of the people there were wearing t-shirts with the band's logo. Do you think this is stupid or ok? Personally, would you do it?
I've got waaay to much time on my hands today...XD

I think it's okay - that's what it's there for! I don't mind looking obsessed about my fave bands.. I AM obsessed. @_@
Hey, people even wear OTHER band's merchandise to some concerts. People can wear what they want, but I wouldn't do it just in case someone thought I was stupid... hehe.
Edit - I don't think it makes you look like a poser, really. You just can't tell that about someone from their appearance; if they ACTED like a poser, then yeah, throw the flag at them. But most people wear the band's merchandise because they love the band! =D
But yeah, if people ARE gonna wear the band's merch, than they should just wear one piece of it, not just wear everything with the band's name on it.. or others might think they are trying too hard.

i like the strokes! i'm valuable people actually would not care. They sell an excellent sort of T-shirts made for the band at concert events like that. i've got even see bands carry out and positioned on T-shirts of different bands (weird and wonderful, huh?)

I think you're making a big deal about it. Its a concert! The point is about having fun, not what you wear. And as for the question theres nothing wrong with wearing the bands shirt, however if you act like a little crazed fan kid decked out in like ALL their stuff, then thats what makes you obsessed. The shirt just shows you support them.

I usually buy a band shirt at the show, but I never wear that bands shirt to that show, personal thing, I know others that feel the same way.
However, I saw Trail of Dead play once, before they were complete garbage, and the lead singer gave his guitar to the first person he saw in a trail of dead shirt.
