Are you a small business owner who constantly has to struggle with being treated like a disposable item- a Kleenex or a dixie cup?
You are used for the customer's quick fix, and when the service has been delivered, you're sloughed off like yesterday's dirty clothes?
I am struggling with this, and I would like your perspectives- please?

Sadly, that is what happens when you deal directly with the public. Don't take it personally.

Either I don't understand what you mean by this or you're confused.
When you provide a service you want to gain return customers/revolving of coarse, but you can't expect them to become regulars especially if it's a service they need only one time, or here and there, and they pay you, not the other way around. If you're giving away services without a fee with little potentila of making a sale, you need to stop doing so and start more promoting your services and supplying information such as F.A.Q. and if that's not enough for them, they will have to make an effort of some sort atleast, and then you reel them in, but with the extension of a real service wisely suggested, an offer they can't refuse, so to speak after having come this far. Other than, if you were referring to something else, they have chat lines, rooms, and sites for that, a buisness is buisness, not dating or making pals.

You don't have to be sloughed off like yesterday's dirty clothes.
You should have their phone numbers and do follow check-up to make sure they are happy, Then ask for referrals so you can make more sells.

P.S.
Make these people your new friends and they will help you succeed.
