Why do people still like Bush? After all that happened to this country, they can't possibly still like him. If you are a supporter, or just know the reason, tell me, because I can't figure it out.

This is after I read some of your responses. I didn't even bother reading ones that started off like, "What do you mean, he is a good president?", "You don't know a thing about war", etc. because that is stupid. If ANYONE WOULD LOOK AROUND, you would see WHAT A HORRIBLE JOB BUSH AND CHENEY ARE DOING!!!!! I totally agree with the few who said they wonder why people still like him, but there was only like 5 of those. Today, my friends and I were talking about something and someone said, "I'm proud of my weirdness." jokingly, then added, "Just like some people are proud of this country" Nobody out of the 7 of us were proud of our country, just because of the government. I found this kid webpage at www.matmice.com/home/kidsagainstbush. Its shows how these kids hated Bush. It's sad how because we can't take a stand against our government, our kids have to suffer through it to, and they are getting into politics because it is so bad. Come on people, use common sense about government

I know of people who are (or at least were) under the delusion that Bush is a Christian who will be the savior of America.

I'm a fundamentalist Christian and I do not support Bush. He's done nothing but trash the Constitution and lie and pick fights with other nations who were no threat to us.

There are people out there that will always be led. I figured out what was going on when Bush and Cheney labeled those who were not behind him as terrorists. Oh, by the way. If Bush is so gung ho for the underdog why aren't we in Africa saving some of those people. Some of those dictators have been cited for inhumanity against the people they govern. And certainly we've forgotten all those 'weapons' we were supposed to have gone in and gotten. That Bush was well aware were not there. He was just settling an old feud between his family and the ruling family of Iraq. I would have to agree with the original poster of the question but there are none so blind as those who will not see.

"Withe" I think you mean with, but anyways.

President Bush has did the best he could with everyone attacking him non-stop. He was the best choice of the two. Can I say I agree with everything he does......No. I can however say that he does what he says and says what he does. For the most part the Troops support him although there are people that aren't going to support him and that is just because people like to Whine and Cry cause Kerry didn't win but let me ask you something. Would you want that war over here or over there? One way or another there was going to be a War cause if you remember correct the US was not the ones that Bomb first they were. Not to mention they did 9/11 before that. My dad was there for 4 years as a contractor so I to went without a family member and before you say, He went cause he wanted too. Well our troops go cause they want to as well. We don't force military men and women to sign up. SUPPORT our TROOPS they deserve it and they have earned it and when you attack this war you are attacking the men and women over there.

ppl have been brain washed into a certain way of thinking, Bush has led the american ppl down the path to death plain n simple. The US deficit is nearly 9 trillion while they spend over 420 billion on defense and about 60 billion on education the truth is that Bush cares nothing about protecting the ppl he was oathed to protect. When it's all said n done those who support W will find their way to the pits of hell, as for me I am not a demorat, or redumblican I trust in the all mighty if they were smart they would do the same the bible says put not your trust in man for what? To go to war with a nation that's been under sanctions for over 15 years. They killed Saddam because he chose to use Euros, rather than US dollars for oil can't mess up W's cash or should I say oil flow. kill saddam n his family n put r own people in there who will support his regime. Those W's supporters need to wake up n smell the oil. How many of these same person will be willing and ready to go to Iraq if their number is called to go fight? Not many everyones talking about supporting the troops why don't they sign up and go fight or stf UP if they love n support W like they say they do fn cowards

What exactly do you mean, "After all that happened to this country"? Evidently you're too young (or got an E in American history) to know anything of past war-time presidents. None were popular but most had the leadership necessary to lead in a time of war. History, again, will be the judge.

What do you mean, all of what's happened to this country? Do you mean, Lower Taxes, less unemployment, a president who's willing to take the fight to the enemy? Remember there have been no more bombings of the US.
Yes over 3000 men and women have died in the conflict, but that's small numbers as wars go. In WW2 at Normandy and at Iwo Jima etc. 10's of thousands died in single weeks. It has been about 5 years now. Don't you think that's a pretty small number for that many years. Granted one man is too many for our sensibilities, but may I remind you that many have reenlisted to fight in Iraq. Some even are on there third reenlistment. I am very happy with the way things are going. Liberal in the media, Hollywood, and Politics have put forth one lie after another for ther own agenda. Don't buy into them.

A lot of Americans think that his dad did good so he must be good and also some people who have loved ones in the armed forces fell obligated to support him.

Because he has been exactly what the US needs at a difficult time. Only few war-time Presidents are popular anyway--Better a Bush in the white house after 911 than any of these democrats

Bush did what he did because he sold the missele to them. To get great gas prices and control over the oil companies. Bush cant say
(i gave it to him so he would be my friend) that would make bush look weak

Many people feel the only patriotic thing to do is support your president, no matter what, in times of war.

I think Mark Twain said it best:

"Patriotism is supporting your country all of the time... and your government when it deserves it."

I support and respect our military. I do not support the Bush administration.
