inequalities question please help?

how can i solve an eqalutiy like the following :

x^2 > 1

and

r^2 <= 25

x^2>1
x>1 or -1

r^2< or = 25
r < or = 5, -5

Dmitry, just take the square root of both numbers
For example X^2>1
will be x>square root of 1
x>1 (square root of 1 is 1)

r^2<=25 (i'm guessing it's less than or equals)

r<=5 (square root of 25 is 5)
