I dont want to sell them on ebay because you'll get some dodgy nigerian trying to rip you off, take them down a phone shop and you get rock bottom price i understand that the shop owners need to make a living but sometimes they offer ridiculously stupid low prices and knock them out at as new price.

Stick with Ebay but make a point of detailing in the "other details" that you only ship to the UK and do not deal with overseas buyers.
In addition, you can decline bids from Ebayers with "x" amount of negative feedback and a rating of 0 or 1, and as these overseas scammers always have a zero rating on feedback (they create new accounts illegaly for each scam attempt) there bids will be declined - be patient and set these criteria on Ebay and you will only get bids from genune buyers. The only other tip is to ensure that you send the phone by recorded delivery.
Hope this helps.
